Psychologists are interested in understanding changes in children and their abilities over time – their physical growth, thinking, learning, emotions, relationships and more. Psychologists work to describe how development is shaped through internal and external influences, such as the role of children’s immediate environments and the role of culture in influencing and shaping development. You will also learn about the role of child psychologists in applied settings and how they can work with other professionals to support the lives of children and young people.
